Overview

TelePorter ("the Extension") is a Chrome extension that exports Telegram Web chat data. Your privacy is important to us. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

Data We Do NOT Collect

Message content — Your Telegram messages, media, and chat content are processed entirely on your device. We never receive, store, or transmit your message content to our servers.
Telegram credentials — Your Telegram login session is managed locally in your browser. We do not have access to your Telegram account credentials.
Personal information — We do not collect your name, email, address, or any personally identifiable information through the extension.

Data We Collect

Anonymous usage analytics: We collect anonymous, aggregated usage data via Google Analytics 4 (Measurement Protocol) to improve the extension. This includes:

Extension open/close events
Feature usage counts (exports started, AI analyses run)
Error counts and types (no personal data included)
A randomly generated anonymous client ID (not linked to your identity)

You can disable analytics at any time in the extension's Settings panel.

AI Analysis

When you use the AI analysis feature, message text is sent to our secure server-side proxy, which forwards it to Google's Gemini API for processing. The text is used solely to generate the analysis result and is not stored on our servers. Google's Gemini API processes data according to Google's AI terms.

Data Storage

All extension data (preferences, session state, export settings) is stored locally in your browser using Chrome's storage API. No user data is stored on our servers.

Your Rights

Disable analytics in the extension Settings at any time
Uninstall the extension to remove all locally stored data
AI analysis is opt-in — your data is never sent without your explicit action

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
